Does anyone have any information on how to go about doing that- set it up in advance or if possible when we get there? Do you have to be certified when going with a group? Scuba Diving? I was recently in Florida and I went snorkeling. The boat that I was on had about 5 people out of the 20 scuba diving. While snorkeling, I could hold my breath long enough to get down until the pressure got to me. It was beautiful. I live in New York and I am very interested in scuba diving. Can I have some information on Scuba Diving (certifications, equipment, places to go, etc.) please? :)
Can you give me some information on getting certified for basic open water scuba diving? I've taken a class about a year ago for basic scuba training, but I never got to go on an actual open water dive, so I'm not yet fully certified. My sister is certified. If we went to Hawaii, would we be able to find someone that will take us both out? Or would I have to get certified before i can go with her? What happens if it's been more than a year since I took that class, will I have to take it again? What happens if I go to a central American country and want to go scuba diving...will I need to be certified first? Will they be able to certify me? Thank you for your assistance :)

Scuba Diving info and fun things to do in Oahu, Hawaii.? Hello there, I was certified as a PADI Open Water diver three years ago, and I am sorry to say that I have not done another dive since. I will be traveling with my parents and some more extended family to Oahu, Hawaii this December and I am wondering if there is anyone who can give me any diving information. i.e. -Good places for a beginner, open water diver to dive – I may have a partner, and I may not so if you could suggest some good dive shops that would take me out as a solo person, that would be fantastic. -Price ranges -Things that can be seen at different dive sites – I am a huge turtle fan and I am not afraid to experience a shark dive. -Educational places that I could network with other divers, people involved with marine conservation down in Oahu. -Fun places to go for educational purposes (ocean life based) The ocean is my one true love and I want to experience as much educational and fun things that have to do with ocean life in Hawaii. Either as a solo person, or drag my family along. Any fun travel info is also welcome. THANKS -Alysia

Scuba diving in mexico? I'm in SoCal and me and some friends are considering going to Mexico to scuba dive! My question is: If you have any insight to this, including safety tips, or warnings not to go (perhaps it's too dangerous? we have not done this before), places to stay, et cetera, any information is appreciated. Thanks very much!
Scuba diving with hypertension? I want to learn how to dive, it's on my list of "things to learn someday" and I've decided that, since I'm not getting any younger, I should get started. I'm mildy hypertensive, I take medicine every day to keep my blood pressure down, and from what I've been reading (the PADI medical form, DAN information) having CONTROLLED high blood pressure should not be a problem for diving. Is this correct? Thanks for your help!
Scuba Diving On The Great Barrier Reef? I'm going to Australia in July and I have the option of either snorkeling or scuba diving on the Reef. I'm not certified yet, but if I wanted to scuba dive I could get certified. I'm not too sure about getting certified, considering I would have to pay for the certification and equipment and that is NOT cheap. Though, I want to scuba dive because it's the Earth's largest and most beautiful reef in the world. I'm not sure what to do. Spend a TON of money to get certified and experience what the Reef has to offer or save my money and snorkel? Has anyone on here snorkeled or scuba dived on the Great Barrier Reef before and would like to share their opinion on their experience? Please include any information for it would make my decision process far easier. Thanks! :)

Looking for Scuba Resort Course Recommendations for Belize, Tulum, Cancun area? I'm going to Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize on a vacation and want to include a day of scuba diving in the reefs, I've never scuba dived before and am looking for a Resort Course option that will get me some good reef views. I'm leaning towards Belize but am finding a hard time gathering information from searching websites.
How to choose a good scuba school? I am looking to learn scuba diving but have no idea what to look for in a school. Every place seems to offer the same classes, same certs and roughly the same prices. Do any of the seasoned pro's here know what to look for when going for training? If it's any consolation I am hoping to get the generic basic open water diver then get into wreck and cavern exploration primarily. All the other courses seem quite interesting also and will probably be pursued throughout my life. Also I'm consciously not putting where I am to prevent advertisements in the form of advice. I am just looking for information on what consists of a good diving instructor / school.

Ocean exploration (SCUBA) jobs and degrees required? I'm a first year college student and am undecided in my major right now. However, I've recently decided that I don't want a regular desk nine to five job; it's just not me. I like to do unique things and adventure. I also love scuba diving! So, I was wondering: are there jobs out there that involve undersea exploration, SCUBA diving to find rare plants and animals, mapping the ocean, or recovering lost artifacts? I know about marine biology and archaeology, but I don't really want to be in a lab; I want to be in the action (which is a relative term- I find underwater to be quite peaceful!) Any new information you guys could offer me would be great, and if you know of the degrees required for the jobs, even better! Thanks!

Information on Santa Lucia, Cuba? Hey everyone! I was just wondering if anyone could give me some tips on what to do in Santa Lucia - Cuba, as well as provide me with some information. Here are the questions I have: - What is the weather generally like in Santa Lucia? Is it humid, dry, does it rain a lot? - Is the water really warm or generally colder? - Are there a lot of mosquitoes there at night and is it necessary to bring bug spray? (I'm asking this because I'm allergic to mosquitoes and if I get bitten too much, I get a rash) - Are the electrical outlets the same as in Canada and the United States? I'm asking this because I don't know if I need to buy an adapter for my electronic devices (camera charger, hair straightener, etc...) - Is the tap water safe to drink? - Is the water really that good for scuba diving and seeing a lot of marine water? If you have any other tips on what to do in Santa Lucia? Are there any attractions I should see or places I should visit? Thank you. In my last point, I meant to write "marine life" not "marine water" LOL

I have now got my eyes set on Goa, just pay someone to do all the work and I turn up for the wedding. Based on the following information, can anyone suggest some career options? I want a job that I love and 60K+ I am a 33 y/o caucasian male. I have a high school diploma, couple of college classes, and completed a 4 year electricians apprenticeship(I am a Journeyman). Previously, I have warehouse, manufacturing, and bartending experience. Currently I am working as an electrician and pizza delivery driver. None of these have been my dream job. I prefer limited contact with others. I don't mind working long hours. I don't like talking on the phone. I live in Atlanta and am limited to jobs in the Atlanta area. My interests/hobbies include reading, cooking, scuba diving, and juijitsu, however, I rarely get to indulge in any of these(I work almost 80 hours a week). I am curious to hear all suggestions. Thanks.
i really need help on these questions? SCUBA DIVING In Exercises 37–39, use the following information. If a scuba diver starts at sea level, the pressure on the diver at a depth of d feet is given by the formula P = 64d + 2112, where P represents the total pressure in pounds per square foot. Suppose the current pressure on a diver is 4032 pounds per square foot. 37. Solve the formula for d. 38. What is the diver’s current depth? 39. In the original equation, is P a function of d or is d a function of P? Explain.
Key West, FL Research for Novel: A Question for Locals & Tourists? If you've seen the living coral reefs, ridden in a glass-bottomed boat, dined in a local Key West restaurant, driven the Overseas Highway, picnicked on the old Seven Mile Bridge, and/or stayed in a Key West hotel, I'd love to get a first person detailed description of your experience, for information to be used in my novel. I also seek detailed descriptions of local trees/plants, the ocean waters and sands around Key West, scuba diving around the reefs, and local architecture. Thank you for your help. :) -Valetta BTW - I've never personally been to Key West. That's why I need an insider's view.
